Jaarlijks terugkerende evenementen voor Allen & Overy

Our long-term client Allen & Overy (A&O) organizes several events each year. One of the highlights is the annual A&O Christmas Party. Our task is to ensure that employees and office partners are amazed once again with a visually stunning dinner followed by a large celebration.

As every year (we have been facilitating this for about eight years now), A&O brings a specific theme. Based on this theme, we work with the client to select suitable venues, assessing both the possibilities and limitations. This advice leads to choosing the perfect location for the chosen theme.

Knowing the theme in advance allows us to quickly start planning lighting, sound, video, and décor. Our design team collaborates with the sales team to create a 3D rendering. Once the initial concept is ready, we present it to the client. After any adjustments, we finalize the plan.
For this event, the venue was the Apollohal in Amsterdam—a sports hall that we completely transformed into a dinner hall and separate party area. The original sports hall was no longer visible. The hall was fully “draped” in black fabric using a truss grid system. Over 250 meters of black fabric, numerous lighting effects, and a high-end audio system created an incredible show during performances, speeches, and comedy acts. Inflatable décor elements were also incorporated, bringing the theme to life even more.
After the dinner, guests could move to the party hall, another transformed sports hall, accessible through a “sensory tunnel” created by us. The tunnel (essentially a passage from one hall to another) engaged the senses with smoke and lighting effects, combined with actors moving throughout the tunnel.

The party hall itself was set up for a performance by the resident “house band.” To close the night, a DJ performed from a spectacular LED DJ booth, also provided by us. Needless to say, the party continued into the late hours.

All in all, the event received glowing feedback from attendees and the client—happy client, happy us!
